The Louisville football team was hoping to have another big week. After destroying Austin Peay 62-0, they wanted to show that the first week wasn't a fluke. Taking on Jacksonville State meant there was a bit of an increase in talent that they were facing. The Jaguars were at least an FBS team.

It wasn't supposed to matter heading into the game. The Cardinals were expected to come in and take care of business considering it's another home game. The weather was perfect, so the Cardinals were expected to have another big game. That's exactly what happened.

Louisville dominated the Jaguars 49-14. It was a game that wasn't particularly close at any point. On a weekend where there were several upsets, the Cardinals were able to keep themselves in the winning column. They went and took care of business.

The Louisville Cardinals had no issue running the ball in this game. They were dominant as three different running backs scored touchdowns in this game. It was a show of force from an offense that had questions to start the season. Tyler Shough was pretty good too.

The Cardinal quarterback had 349 yards and two touchdowns in this game, showing that he can sling the ball around too. While other teams around the Cardinals fell, Louisville made sure that they weren't upset. Notre Dame, Iowa, and Georgia Tech all went down in upsets, the Cardinals took care of business.

Louisville will likely rise in the polls after this week. I'll be interested to see where they rank after yet another dominant performance. The Cardinals are clearly one of the best teams in the ACC and definitely have a shot to make the College Football Playoff.

Next week, the Cardinals have a bye. They get a bit of rest before the meat of their schedule starts.
