The Louisville football team did exactly what they needed to do against Georgia Tech on Saturday. They won the game without much doubt at the end. While the defense wasn't as dominant as they had been in the first two games of the year, they came up big by scoring another touchdown.

Offensively, the Cardinals have been much better than what people thought they were going to be. Their ground game has been a revelation. In the first two games, they ran for 526 yards. That's some serious work with the run game. They didn't run the ball well against the Yellow Jackets and that turned out to be a good thing.

Louisville mustered just 63 rushing yards against Georgia Tech. Why would that be a good thing? It is because the Louisville Cardinals showed that they can throw the ball to win games too. Tyler Shough had 269 yards and two touchdowns. He has shown to be a reliable quarterback to a team that needs someone steady at that spot.

The Louisville football team has shown diversity in its offense

If Louisville is able to pass the ball like that when they can't get it going on the ground, they are going to be an extremely hard team to beat. They don't really have any weaknesses. The defense was supposed to be the strength of this team, not the offense.

Louisville has shown that they have diversity in their offense, which is extremely important. With the toughest part of their schedule coming up, they need to be as unpredictable on offense as they can be. Notre Dame is a tough place to play and that's where they go next weekend.

A great offense to go along with an opportunistic defense makes this Louisville team suddenly extremely dangerous to the rest of the ACC. They have a real shot to win the conference.
