As the 2025-26 season comes to a close, the official bracket for this year's ACC tournament has been released. Many teams are looking to get some much-needed wins going into Selection Sunday, while others are just looking to marginally improve their seed. Louisville basketball is firmly in the tournament at this point, but with possible games against SMU, Miami, Virginia, Duke, or North Carolina, the Cardinals will be looking for revenge.

3 clear reasons Louisville basketball fans should be excited for the postseason

Louisville currently looks to be in the 6-7 seed range, but if they were to get some crucial wins against Quad 1 teams, it could boost their resume and, more importantly, keep them from falling to a lower seed.

The Cardinals made it to the championship game last year but fell to Duke. This year, Louisville fans have to like the Cardinals' path back, as they stand 6th in the ACC standings, have their first game on Wednesday at 2:30 against either Syracuse or SMU, and, if they win that, they face Miami in the quarterfinals and avoid Duke until the ACC Title game.

With the bracket starting on Tuesday here are some predictions:

First Round Predictions:

The first round of the ACC tournament will take place on Tuesday, March 10th, with three games. The No. 10-seed Stanford Cardinal will take on the No. 15-seed Pitt Panthers at 2:00 p.m., and the No. 11-seed SMU Mustangs will face the No. 14-seed Syracuse Orange at 4:30 p.m. Following those matchups, the No.12-seed Virginia Tech Hokies will face the No. 13-seed Wake Forest Demon Deacons at 7 p.m.

No. 10 Stanford defeats No. 15 Pitt, 78-66

No. 11 SMU defeats No. 14 Syracuse, 86-79

No. 12 Virginia Tech defeats No. 13 Wake Forest, 81-73
