Leaving: Isaac Brown, RB

This prediction is by no means due to any issues with injuries or production that occurred throughout the season. Isaac Brown is simply a high-level talent who is sure to field offers from top college programs looking to bring firepower into their backfield. He is likely to get major, high-priced offers from many schools that will surely take his talents away from the fans at Louisville. He is a home run threat any time he gets the ball, a talent that comes along and makes you pay close attention to every move he makes. Brown burst onto the scene last year, emerging as the lead back and leading production of the offense alongside now NFL quarterback Tyler Shough.

This season was a different story. Although the moments that Brown had on the field were similar to last season (91 rushing attempts, 782 rushing yards, 5 touchdowns), the injuries simply kept him from being the Heisman-level running back many thought he could be in his sophomore season. With the nature of college football at the current moment, and the highest bidder typically coming from wealthier traditional powers, it’s only natural to believe that such an offer will present itself to Isaac Brown. Although all of Cardinal Nation would love to have No. 1 back in the backfield leading the charge next season, it may be a dream to think his talents would be able to be retained at a price that satisfies Louisville’s budget.
