The transfer portal has been open for over two weeks now, and most of the big-name targets have already signed with their new programs. The portal will open until April 22, and as of now, Louisville has brought in three massive players from the portal and has only seen one player leave.

The Cardinals have done a tremendous job this offseason of continuing to grow and build their culture. Head coach Pat Kelsey is showing why he is one of the best recruiters in the nation and one of the best coaches in college basketball as the Cards' are becoming a top landing spot in college basketball. Louisville lost its top three scorers from last season, but that hasn't slowed them down.

Many experts see them as a top-five team next year, giving them the third-best odds to win the National Championship after their new additions. Louisville started this offseason by landing a massive commitment from 5-star prospect Adrian Wooley. Following Wooley would be two 4-star commitments, including Ryan Conwell.

Conwell is a 6-foot-4, 215-pound guard who transferred from Xavier and is one of the best offensive players in the nation. The Cardinals were looking for elite shooting this offseason, and they landed one of the best shooters from the past season.

Louisville secured Ryan Conwell on April 1, and he immediately broke the silence on social media, which shows how excited he is to be a Louisville Cardinal.

"This isn’t just a commitment—it’s a promise. Louisville, I’m all in. Let’s build something special!”Conwell stated on his Instagram post about his commitment to the University of Louisville.

This Instagram post has Louisville basketball fans thrilled for the upcoming season. The Cardinals fans were blowing social media up when Conwell committed to Louisville, as he now joins this elite roster Kelsey has assembled.

Conwell picked the Cardinals for a couple of reasons, including the playstyle Kelsey allows his players to play and the fact that this Louisville basketball team has a legitimate chance to win the National Championship. Kelsey has assembled one of the best rosters in the nation, as Conwell will play with a 5-star point guard in Mikel Brown Jr., a 5-star shooting guard in Adrian Wooley, a 4-star shooting guard in Isaac McKneely, and a deep rotation in the forward position.
