Louisville basketball's offseason is still receiving extreme high praise as The Field of 68 recently put out a podcast episode on the Cardinals' offseason, and both college basketball experts gave Pat Kelsey the grade he deserved.

After adding three elite transfers and some international stars, Kelsey and this Cardinals squad are poised for a deep postseason run, and Jeff Goodman and Rob Dauster agree. Louisville is expected to not only compete for the ACC Title this year, but some experts are saying they will finally get over the hump and claim the ACC Title they have never been able to claim.

The Field of 68 broke down Louisville's potential this upcoming season, and the two college basketball experts just revealed how dominant this backcourt will be after giving the Cardinals an 'A' for the offseason.

Rob Dauster's bold take reveals Louisville has best backcourt in college basketball

The two college basketball experts agree and give Kelsey's offseason an 'A' for obvious reasons. The depth in the backcourt has Dauster and Goodman loving Kelsey's roster.

The backcourt starts with Mikel Brown Jr., and the two experts deep dive into how dominant the 5-star is going to be. Dauster and Goodman love the fact that Brown is humble and isn't a cocky 5-star who is demanding attention, and then highlight how perfect a fit Isaac McKneely and Ryan Conwell are next to Brown.

"I think this is going to be the best backcourt in college basketball when we look up in March," Dauster stated on the Field of 68 podcast.

While this might be a hot take to some, Louisville Cardinals fans have been screaming this all offseason. Dauster doubled down and repeated himself after going through Purdue and Houston's backcourt, and emphasized that when March rolls around, the Cardinals' backcourt is going to be better.

It was also nice to hear Dauster shine a light on 5-star transfer Adrian Wooley, a name that has flown under the radar to some. Wooley was the first player to transfer to Kelsey and is expected to be a key player next season and help the Cardinals reach their expectations. The 5-star transfer is coming off a season averaging 18.8 points and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 51.2 percent from the field and 42.2 percent from downtown.

Goodman followed Dauster's hot take by not agreeing or disagreeing but just diving into the Cardinals' roster and emphasizing that this roster has the skills and depth to compete for a National Championship. When looking at this backcourt, it is obvious that with their ability to shoot and create space, they are in the conversation for one of the best backcourts.

The Cardinals' backcourt is poised for a massive season behind Brown, McKneely, Wooley, and Conwell. The four guards are finally getting the flowers they deserve from an expert, and while Dauster's take might be a bold one to some college basketball fans, it certainly is not a hot take in the city of Louisville.
