2. Senior Day 2025 - March 2025

The culmination of the excitement and absolute dominance in ACC conference play for the 2024-2025 season came in Louisville's last home game against Stanford, Senior Day. The day was absolutely magical, but not only for Louisville’s performance on the court. The Cardinals defeated the Cardinals 64-48 in a performance that saw fellow senior leaders Terrence Edwards and Chucky Hepburn finish with 16 points each, a fitting tribute to the leaders of the first Louisville basketball squad for Pat Kelsey.

The game’s significance goes far beyond the win against Stanford. This game capped off an 18-2 conference record and solidified Louisville as the second-best team in the ACC behind the pesky Duke Blue Devils. The day also gave the Cardinal fanbase a chance to cheer on and thank the group of guys who gave Louisville and Pat Kelsey a chance at the end of their careers. The highlight of Chucky Hepburn kissing the court as he checks out of the game one last time at home, to a standing ovation from the fans nonetheless, will go down as one of the most touching moments in Cardinal history.

This team may not have had the success seen by some of Louisville's most prized teams in its rich history, but it did reignite a fanbase after the absolute hell the former coach put them through over the previous 2 seasons. For that, they will always be a special team around the city of Louisville.
