Louisville football is turning its focus from the Transfer Portal and the Cardinals' offseason recruiting to the 2027 recruiting class. The Cardinals have already struck gold as they have landed four 4-star recruits, including Allen Evans.

The elite cornerback is ranked as a consensus 4-star recruit and ranks as high as No. 39 in the recruiting class and No. 1 from the state of Kentucky. The Cardinals earned the Louisville natives' commitment over powerhouse programs such as Alabama, Penn State, Tennessee, and Michigan. Because of Evan’s commitment, and three other 4-star commitments in Chuck Alexander, Jack Sorgi, and D'Angelo White, Louisville’s 2027 recruiting class is getting a lot of love as it ranks No. 11 in the nation.

Louisville fans are stoked to see this Cards class ranked as high as No. 11, but the Cardinals Executive Director of Football Personnel and Recruiting, Vince Marrow, is the first to warn college football and send a fiery three-word message.

Louisville football's 2027 recruiting class ranks No. 11

The Cardinals are trying to land one of their best recruiting classes in a long time, and right now they are exceeding everyone’s expectations. And while the fans are happy to see Louisville ranked No. 11 as of early February, 2026, Marrow is the first to tell Louisville fans, they aren’t done yet.

From 2010 to the present day, the Cardinals have never finished with a top 10 recruiting class, but Brohm and Marrow are working on something special for this program. These two continue to show how special they can be, as they recently secured the No. 5 Transfer Portal class according to On3 Sports, and are now trending toward one of the best recruiting classes in 2027.

As of right now, Louisville’s five commitments rank higher than powerhouse programs like Michigan, Florida State, Tennessee, Clemson, Oregon, and others. Marrow, posting a fiery message of “Not done yet,” is exactly what Cardinals fans want to hear as they hope to land the state's other top recruits in Malachi Brown, Seneca Driver, and Tyler Fryman.

Brohm and Marrow continue to prove this program is trending up, and with the Cardinals reportedly “closing in on a few more commits”, according to Rivals Steve Wiltfong, this program is poised to make a run at a top 2027 recruiting class.
