Louisville football recently hired former top Kentucky recruiter Vince Marrow as their new Executive Director of Player Personnel and Recruiting. The shakeup shocked the entire nation, as many thought he was moving on from Kentucky, but few expected him to switch to their biggest rival, the Louisville Cardinals.
Marrow spent 12 seasons with Kentucky and helped the team consistently earn a top 40 recruiting class, including one that was ranked in the top 15. The new Cardinals' GM is now expected to be their missing piece, helping to lift this program to the elite level, earn their first ACC Title, and make a run for the National Title.
Louisville recently issued an official statement, saying everything a Cardinals fan wants to hear, as Marrow's lofty goal proves this team is trending in the right direction.

Vince Marrow’s fiery message to Louisville Football was a complete home run
Marrow is expected to elevate this program's recruiting to the next level and earn elite 4-star commitments, possibly even 5-star commitments. Louisville has been able to win despite being under-talented, thanks to their elite coach. However, with Brohm and Marrow now teamed up, the dream is to win a National Championship.
Marrow's official statement once he was hired proved this team is on the right track, and his immediate goal is exactly what the Louisville Cardinals fans want to hear.
"Ultimately, my goal is to win a national championship," Marrow stated. "I am very confident that we can accomplish that goal, and I can't wait to get started."
Louisville has posted a 19-8 record since Brohm joined the Cardinals, including their first win over Clemson, their first appearance in an ACC Championship game, and a 10-win season. The Cardinals have consistently overperformed every season, and now, with a marquee coach on their sideline, Louisville should be able to attract even better talent, making this program a significant threat not just to the ACC but to the nation.
Marrow's National Title goal is completely warranted and it is a realistic goal. This program can now attract elite 4-star recruits and compete in the College Football Playoffs.
"I'm incredibly excited to work with Jeff Brohm and the University of Louisville football program," Marrow stated. "The opportunity to take on this exciting role, in the state where I have so many incredible relationships, was something that I couldn't pass up."
Marrow will make this program compete for an ACC Title for years, and this fiery message was exactly what the fan base wanted to hear. This message will get the fan base excited for the upcoming season, as well as for the future of recruiting and the program. Louisville will now look to compete for the best talent around the nation and earn those 200 commitments.
