Wild Juke Harris to Louisville rumors have definitively been put to bed for hopeful fans

While a few Louisville fans were hoping to see Juke Harris as a Cardinal, those dreams have almost undeniably been laid to rest.

After Pat Kelsey's domination in the transfer portal, a lot of Cardinals fans were hoping for a cherry on top, in the form of former Wake Forest guard Juke Harris, who quickly became one of the most highly coveted players in the portal.

However, as the guard went through his transfer process and seemed to narrow his search to just two schools, Louisville appeared to turn its attention in another direction.

Harris reportedly was deciding between only two programs for his next team: the Michigan Wolverines and the Tennessee Volunteers.

Now, an expert prediction sending Harris to the Vols has almost entirely shut down the hope that he would be suiting up for Kelsey and the Louisville Cardinals this fall.

Juke Harris expected to sign with Tennessee Volunteers

Harris is currently the No. 1 player remaining in the portal, ranked ahead of other transfers who have yet to commit, like Iowa State's Milan Momcilovic and Baylor's Tounde Yessoufou.

However, the Cardinals are going to be just fine without Harris on the depth chart, Kelsey doing an undeniably phenomenal job this offseason, and bringing in the No. 1 transfer portal class in the country.

Louisville Cardinals incoming transfers

  • Flory Bidunga, five-star center from Kansas
  • Jackson Shelstad, four-star point guard from Oregon
  • Karter Knox, four-star small forward from Arkansas
  • Alvaro Folgueiras, four-star power forward from Iowa
  • De'Shayne Montgomery, four-star shooting guard from Dayton
  • Gabe Dynes, three-star center from USC

With six incoming transfers and just three departures, it came as no surprise that Louisville's portal class topped the national rankings, edging out the Texas Longhorns and the Indiana Hoosiers.

While the addition of Harris would have been nice, it isn't as if the Cardinals were exactly in dire need of another guard from the portal, with former Oregon Duck point guard Jackson Shelstad and former Dayton shooting Guard De'Shayne Montgomery nicely rounding out the backcourt.
