Three-star offensive tackle Jimmy Williams III officially commits to Head Coach Jeff Brohm and the University of Louisville following an unofficial visit on April 21, 2023, for the Louisville Football Spring Game.

Jimmy Williams currently plays for American Heritage High School in Plantation, Florida. He is listed as 6-foot-5, 290-pounds, and joins Indiana offensive lineman Ransom McDermott as the only two offensive linemen (so far) in the Class of 2024. The other 2024 commits include three-star quarterback Deuce Adams, four-star running back Isaac Brown, and four-star edge rusher TJ Capers.

Heading into his senior season, Williams had multiple Division I offers, including Duke, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, UCF, and Liberty, among others. As a junior, he started at right tackle for the Patriots and helped carry them to a 13-2 record. He also played a key role in opening up holes for their running back, Mark Fletcher, a consensus four-star prospect who is currently signed with the University of Miami.

Jeff Brohm and his staff continue to make recruiting splashes and have stirred more buzz into this football program than there has been in a long time. Since arriving in December 2022, he has hit the pedal to the metal and become a force to be reckoned with in the recruiting world. Landing top-tier talent like TJ Capers, visits from players like KJ Bolden and now Marcus Washington, all the while attempting to landlock the state of Kentucky’s pipeline.

Chris Hummer of 247Sports said that “You can argue that no one is more active right now than Louisville.” Even the buzz around the program is reaching national attention. It’s an exciting time to be a Louisville fan.
