Highly coveted 2024 four-star tight end Dylan Mesman just announced his decision to commit to Head Coach Jeff Brohm and the University of Louisville.

Two days ago, he released a Top Five that included Louisville, Kentucky, Michigan State, Ole Miss, and Auburn. But, this morning he received a Crystal Ball from Cardinal Authority’s Jody Demling.

So, it seemed like Louisville was in the lead to land the Top-20 tight end. And that is exactly what happened. Dylan Mesman heads into his senior year of high school knowing where he’ll spend the next few years at the collegiate level: Louisville, Kentucky.

Dylan Mesman is 6-foot-5, 230 pounds, and is a consensus four-star prospect. He is also the No. 19 overall tight end in the country, according to 247Sports. Mesman currently plays for Saline High School in Saline, Michigan.

He helped lead the Saline Hornets to an 8-3 record and earned several Division I scholarships from programs all over the country, including Duke, Rutgers, Auburn, Michigan State, Kentucky, West Virginia, Kansas, and Louisville, among others.

Last season with the Hornets, Mesman recorded 29 receptions for 245 yards and six touchdowns, earning him the right to be named to the Ann Arbor Dream Team. Louisville needed tight ends desperately and got one of the best ones in the country for the Class of 2024.

Now, he joins running back Isaac Brown, quarterback Deuce Adams, edge rusher TJ Capers, wide receiver Shaun Boykins, offensive lineman Jimmy Williams, and offensive lineman Ransom McDermott as members of Jeff Brohm’s Class of 2024. Louisville is quickly putting together a very impressive 2024 class and only continues to build excitement for the future of the Louisville football program.
