Louisville football has high expectations on offense heading into the 2025 season, but on the defense the Jeff Brohm Cardinals has some glaring holes.
The fanbase notices these holes on defense, and have a lot of questions entering next season, and to be fair, they are valid questions. The secondary has not yet been filled, and spring ball is now right around the corner.

In Crawford's prediction, he has Cardinals snapping their three season eight or more wins in a season streak, and he has some questionable predictions. Most Cardinals fans can understand the SMU, Clemson, and Miami loss, that is expected, but the Virginia Tech, and Pitt loss is where fans will raise an eyebrow.
Cardinals have a potential All-American in Isaac Brown, and a quarterback addition in Miller Moss, who had a grading score of 90 and four-stars via 247Sports. The Cardinals offense has a great opportunity to be extremley explosive and one of the best in the country. Moss, Isaac Brown and Caullin Lacy are going to be a three-headed monster for their opponents, and nearly unstoppable to defend.
This has Cardinals beating the teams they are supposed to beat but just collapsing to all the decent or above average teams. It is hard to imagine Louisville falls to 7-5 this season, especially with Jeff Brohm at coach.
Crawford predicts Louisville football to go 3-5 in the ACC, and finishing around twelfth in the ACC. Jeff Brohm will be entering his third season as the Cardinals head coach, and will be seeking UofL fourth consecutive season of eight wins or more and his third straight season of at least nine wins. Cardinals wins total line was released by FanDuel yesterday at 8.5, and in this prediction they are two game below the line.
Louisville football opens up against Eastern Kentucky on August 30 from L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium.
