Louisville has been a major player in the postseason transfer portal cycle; however, a few positions will need some additional attention as the final days of the portal opening loom.

2. Wide Receiver

The wide receiver group was perhaps the most depleted position as the postseason began for the Louisville Cardinals. Louisville lost senior stars Chris Bell and Caullin Lacy to the NFL and the end of their eligibility. Additionally, Louisville has had the vast majority of its returning production enter the transfer portal, including Kris Hughes, Bobby Golden, Treyshun Hurry, and Antonio Meeks. It has become a serious concern for the offense as to who the new quarterback, Lincoln Keinholz, will be throwing to.

The Cardinals' recruiting staff has made quick work of bringing in replacements, including Montavin Quisenberry and Hardly Gilmore from Kentucky, as well as Tre Richardson from Vanderbilt, to start. Throw in Lawayne McCoy from Florida St. and Jackson Voth from Drake, and the group is well on their way to having all slots filled. However, this position group still needs the final key roster spots filled to provide additional depth. Many names are still connected to Louisville as the Cardinals; look for Vince Marrow and company to put an increased focus on this position in the coming days.
