3. Adrian Wooley
Adrian Wooley was a true freshman last season for Kennesaw State. The combo guard attended Paul W. Bryant High School in Alabama, where he was a 3-star recruit and the No. 2 player from Alabama. Wooley then committed to Kennesaw State, where he put up dominant numbers, including 18.8 points per game while shooting 51.2 percent from the floor.
The elite combo guard earned C-USA Freshman of the Year and All-C-USA First Team. He would then enter the transfer portal after his dominant freshman season and was ranked as high as a 5-star prospect and the No. 5 overall player in the transfer portal. The Cardinals were in glaring need of a player of Wooley's skills, and once he committed to the Cardinals, all the dominoes started to fall their way. The Kennesaw State transfer will be a part of one of the most dominant backcourts in the nation as Ryan Conwell and Isaac McKneely both transferred to Louisville with Wooley.
The Cardinals newcomer will learn a lot from playing with McKneely, the transfer from Virginia. McKneely is one of the best shooters in the nation, so Wooley will be playing with some veteran players at a high level. His skills will transition perfectly to this Kelsey-style offense, and he is poised for another breakout year.
While it will be hard for Wooley to average more than his 18.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 steals per game in his freshman year, he will not only be a crucial piece in the Cardinals rotation but playing in the ACC and on a National Championship-caliber team will skyrocket his NBA Draft stocks for the future. Wooley is predicted to be the Cardinals' starting shooting guard and play along with Mikel Brown Jr.
Wooley will take a massive leap from his freshman season as he will now have tons of space on the court and not all the attention. The 6-foot-5 guard has tremendous skill around the rim and is extremely shifty, but he is also a sharpshooter, as he splashed 73 3-pointers last season on 42 percent.
