Louisville football has landed 16 recruits in the 2027 recruiting class, earning a top-40 class in the nation at the moment. Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow have some eye-popping commitments in the 2027 recruiting class, including the 4-star wide receiver Ja’Hyde Brown.

The Louisville native ranks as high as No. 66 in the 2027 cycle after he soared in the recruiting rankings this summer. Brown is now one of the Cardinals' highest-rated commitments in program history, and Brohm and Marrow are quickly looking to build on that.

The city of Louisville has been developing impressive talent in recent years, and there is one recruit who has been turning heads lately. Kellan Hall has been a dream target for many programs, and after his recent rise in the Rivals rankings, Louisville fans are praying the Louisville native stays home.

Louisville native Kellan Hall rises in latest recruiting rankings

The Cardinals have had their eyes on the local 5-star for quite some time now. Hall is one of the best recruits to ever come from the city of Louisville, and his recent rise proves that. Rivals recently updated their recruiting rankings for the 2028 recruiting class, and the Cardinals fans and Louisville natives quickly noticed Hall moved up in the rankings and is now the No. 2 overall recruit in the 2029 cycle.

Hall is not only a Louisville native recruit but also a teammate of the Cardinals' top 2027 commitment, Ja’Hyde Brown. The two play for Christian Academy of Louisville, where Brown earned 98 catches for 1,556 yards and 24 touchdowns, and Hall secured 53 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks.

The two stars led Christian Academy of Louisville to a 15- 0 record and the Class 3A state title in Kentucky. Now, Louisville fans dream of keeping Hall at home and playing for Brohm and the Louisville Cardinals. But it won’t be easy.

Hall is a unanimous 5-star recruit in the 2028 recruiting class and a unanimous top six overall recruit, with Rivals ranking him the highest at the No. 2 overall recruit, No. 1 among defensive linemen and No. 1 among recruits from Kentucky.

Hall has secured over 27 offers from powerhouse programs such as Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Tennessee, Indiana, Georgia, Texas A&M, and many others. On3 Sports reports he has taken four visits to Notre Dame and Ohio State, three to Oklahoma and Tennessee, and two to Louisville and Alabama.

Right now, Oklahoma is the dominant favorite to land Hall, as the Rivals prediction calculator gives the Sooners an 83.9 percent chance of landing the Louisville native. Behind Rivals, Ohio State has a 3.3 percent chance, Notre Dame has a 2.8 percent chance, and everyone else has less than 2 percent.

It won’t be easy for Brohm and Louisville to land the local 5-star, but with Hall now ranked No. 2 in the nation, Louisville fans are hanging on to that dream.
