After a disappointing 6-5 start, Pat Kelsey and his Cardinals have been dominating their opponents, specifically the ACC.  Louisville basketball is in third place in the ACC and is back and ranked in the top 25.

Many analysts have gone out and said College Basketball is better with Louisville in the top 25 and more fun, and well the Cardinals are climbing to the top thanks to their 10 game win streak and all their newcomers.

UofL is putting the national media on notice, and specifically this one ESPN College Basketball analyst, who said the sky is the limit for the Cardinals and they have a clear path to go undefeated rest of the way in regular season.

Jay Williams predicts Louisville basketball will go undefeated

ESPN College Basketball analyst, Jay Williams, was on College Gameday Saturday morning and not just gave Louisville Cardinals the credit they deserve but nearly praised them.

Williams made these claims before the Cardinals lost on Saturday to Georgia Tech. So, while William’s statement is wrong, he still is right that this team winning out isn’t just possible, but it is plausible.

"I think that Louisville was going to be undefeated until we get to March 1." Williams stated on College Gameday. "When you look at their schedule, Georgia Tech, Boston College, Miami, NC State, Notre Dame, FSU, Virginia Tech, obviously, there are really good opponents there, but I think this Louisville team is still an underrated team,"

UofL is projected to most likely be a five seed in March Madness and either the two or three seed in the ACC tournament. If Cardinals can hop Clemson, then that second seed would be monumental.

"And in the conference, that's looking to find multiple bids to get into the NCAA Tournament, we'll see if they can get five. I think Louisville might be the next best thing after Duke basketball." Williams stated Saturday.

Williams predicts this UofL team to keep climbing in the rankings and to be one of the hottest teams in College Basketball come conference tournaments. He claimed them to be the “next best thing after Duke” and essentially thinks this team is set up for huge success.

Louisville basketball is led by their back court duo in Chucky Hepburn and Terrence Edwards Jr. Hepburn averages 15 points a game and Edwards is averaging about 14 points per game. Cardinals hit the transfer portal heavy in the offseason as their top five scorers are all new this year.

Louisville Basketball have five players averaging double digit points and are led by a first-year head coach in Pat Kelsey.

If Jay Williams is correct, Louisville basketball would go into the ACC Tournament 25-6 and be most likely in the top 15 and projected a top 4 seed in March Madness.
