Louisville basketball is heavily involved in the Transfer Portal this offseason as the Cardinals are ranked No. 1 in the portal class rankings. Pat Kelsey has done a phenomenal job recruiting from the Transfer Portal in his first few years, landing big-time players.
3 Louisville basketball transfers who have already found new homes
With Louisville rebuilding, Kelsey lost a handful of Cardinals from this past season, including Sananda Fru, Khani Rooths, Vangelis Zougris, Kasean Pryor, and Mouhamed Camara. Out of that list, four have already found new homes as Fru has committed to Marquette, Rooths has committed to Oklahoma, Zougris has committed to Saint Mary’s, and just now it was reported that Camara will stay in-state and commit to Eastern Kentucky.

Former Louisville 4-star Mouhamed Camara commits to Eastern Kentucky
Camara spent just one year with Louisville after committing to the Cardinals this time last year. The Senegal native committed to Louisville from the NBA Academy Africa, and is an elite athlete who Pat Kelsey and teammates were immediatley impressed by.
"I would say Mo," Rodgers stated last offseason on who is raising his eyebrows. "Everybody knew he was an athletic freak coming in, but a simple couple plays that he made in the two or three live practices that we had, just kind of puts you in awe, and just like wow. Once he cleans up some parts of his game and gets more consistent on his shot, which everybody has to do, but Mo has just shown bursts of a special player in the making."
Camara was bumped to a 4-star commitment to Louisville after averaging 10.7 points while shooting 60.0% from the floor and 37.5% from 3-point range during events with the NBA Academy Africa. The two-way forward also added 7.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.8 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game.
In Kelsey’s official statement, when Camara committed, he referred to the 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward as an “elite defender”, and while Louisville fans never got to see that because he redshirted his freshman season, it appears he won’t be too far from them, playing for Eastern Kentucky.
Camara is the fourth Louisville Cardinal who entered the Transfer Portal this offseason to commit to another program, as Kasean Pryor is still available.
