Louisville football is having an impressive 2027 recruiting class so far, as Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow have landed 18 commitments, and this class is trending toward making history. Right now, the Cards' recruiting class ranks as high as No. 22 in the 2027 team recruiting rankings, and the best-ranked recruiting class in program history was the 2006 class, which ranked No. 24 in the nation.
Predicting 2 Louisville football commits coming this week after huge recruiting surge
However, with the Cardinals turning heads nationwide and landing eye-popping recruits, Louisville has to try to avoid recruits flipping their commitments. The Cardinals have already seen one recruit flip his commitment, as 4-star quarterback commitment Jack Sorgi flipped from Louisville to Wisconsin.
And now, this weekend, the Cards have a few recruits on flip watch, as some are visiting other programs.
Louisville football has three commitments on flip-watch
The Cardinals have a few recruits on flip watch, including Chuck Alexander, who committed to the Cardinals back in November of 2025. The 4-star recruit took a visit to Wisconsin this past weekend, and now a few other recruits are also taking some visits this weekend, June 19.
One of Louisville's 3-star commitments, Brooklyn Maxey, is possibly on a flip watch, as he will take an official visit to Kansas State this weekend. After the Cardinals landed the 3-star, Maxey canceled his visits to Alabama and Kentucky; however, he kept his visit to Manhattan.
Maxey received over 27 offers from notable programs, including Alabama, Kentucky, Texas, Auburn, Penn State, and Wisconsin. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound two-way athlete ranks as high as No. 875 in the 2027 class, No. 55 ATH, and No. 75 among recruits native to Florida.
Also, possibly on a flip watch for Louisville and Jeff Brohm includes a couple more Florida natives, Cornelius Tims III and Kaleb Exume. Tim and Exume have both been committed to Louisville for over two months now, but both are scheduled to take visits this weekend, per 247Sports.
Both recruits are 3-star commitments, and while Tims committed to Louisville back in February, he is scheduled to visit Mississippi State. The 3-star recruit has over 25 offers, including from Auburn, Florida State, Vanderbilt, and others.
The 6-foot-4, 285-pound defensive lineman ranks as high as No. 838 overall, No. 95 among defensive linemen, and No. 60 among Florida recruits.
As for Exume, he is the last of the three Florida recruits to commit to the Cardinals, doing so in April. The 3-star recruit is quickly on another visit as the defensive tackle is visiting another ACC school, the Boston College Eagles.
So, Louisville and Brohm hope these three Florida commitments leave the weekend still committed to the Cardinals, but Cards fans will keep a close eye on anyone who flips their commitment like Sorgi.
