Louisville football and Jeff Brohm are on a major recruiting surge as the Cardinals have landed three commitments already this week and four commitments in the month of June. The summer months are crucial recruiting months, and with the Cards looking to etch this 2027 recruiting class in the program history books, Brohm and Vince Marrow are heating up at the perfect time.

Jeff Brohm’s recruiting surge continues with Louisville landing two more 2027 commitments

Recently, 4-star AJ Tillman Jr. committed to Louisville after his visit to Louisville a couple of weekends ago. Following Tillman’s commitment, Louisville fans have seen in-state recruit Darrian Tomlin over Miami, followed by a pair of 3-star commitments in Keontay Toomer and Kyson Mallard.

Now that Louisville is looking to build on this momentum, Brohm and Marrow hope to stay red-hot and pick up more commitments. We are going to try to predict who the next two commitments will be, and, looking at the potential candidates, two immediatley jump out.

Predicting Louisville football's next two 2027 commitments

The Cardinals have had 27 recruits on campus over the last two weekends, including Toomer, Mallard, and Tillman. Our first prediction of who will commit to Louisville next is the Cardinals' newest No. 1 quarterback prospect in the 2027 recruiting class, Dre’mail Carothers.

The 3-star quarterback has emerged as Brohm’s clear top quarterback recruit in this cycle after Jack Sorgi flipped his commitment to Wisconsin. Carothers is coming off a recent visit to Louisville this past weekend, on June 5, and with the Cards already landing four commitments in June, we are predicting the Kentucky native to be next.

Right now, Louisville is in a recruiting battle with North Carolina and USF, as UNC hosted Carothers for an official visit on May 29, and USF will host him on June 19. He has received over 14 offers, including from Oregon State, Toledo, Western Kentucky, and others.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound quarterback threw for 4,001 passing yards and 49 touchdowns while completing 67 percent of his 424 pass attempts this past season. In addition to those passing stats, he also rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown.

Carother ranks as high as No. 855 in the 2027 recruiting class, No. 40 among quarterbacks and No. 11 in the state of Kentucky. On3 Sports gives Louisville the best chances to land the 3-star QB with a 37 percent, with UNC right behind at 32 percent and USF at 26.5 percent.

The second recruit we predict Louisville will land is 4-star linebacker Theo Wilson. Of the 10 recruits on campus this past weekend, Wilson ranked the highest and is the recruit many Cardinals fans are keeping a close eye on.

The 4-star linebacker ranks as high as No. 292 in the 2027 recruiting class, No. 20 among linebackers and No. 32 out of Florida. He is coming off a year where he recorded 96 total tackles, 34 tackles for a loss, 17 quarterback hurries, 13 sacks, three forced fumbles, two pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, and one interception.

The 4-star recruit has earned over 35 offers, including from Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, LSU, Kentucky, and others. He visited Virginia on May 29 and will visit LSU on June 19.

With Louisville trying to secure the best recruiting class in program history, the Cardinal recruiting surge is coming at the perfect time. Right now, Louisville’s 18 commitments rank No. 22 in the 2027 recruiting class team rankings, and the Cards' fans are keeping their eyes open for more commitments in the coming weeks.
