Louisville football is beginning to pick up the pace in recruiting for the 2027 class, as the Cardinals learned they landed two commitments on Saturday in ATH Josiah Pouncy and defensive lineman Cornelius Tims III, and now they just received word that they are one step closer to landing another prospect.
A couple of days ago, Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow learned they are one step closer to landing one of the best recruits from Kentucky, as elite 4-star cornerback Jordan Haskins narrowed his list down to six schools. The Cardinals will now see that they made another ATH recruit, as Kaden Howard cut his list down to seven schools, and the Cardinals were one of the schools to get good news.

Louisville football one step closer to landing explosive 2027 ATH
Louisville continues to amp up its recruiting efforts for the 2027 recruiting class, hoping to hear good news after making Howard’s updated list, which includes Nebraska, Missouri, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Pitt, and Minnesota.

Howard is an underrated gem, as he has logged over 27 offers during his recruiting process, including from the seven schools on his updated list, such as Tulane, Bowling Green, and others. Louisville has shown a lot in the past; they like to recruit Kentucky, Ohio, and the state of Florida. Following that path, Howard is a Miami native and plays his high school football for Miami Palmetto High School.
Louisville recently extended its offer to the under-the-radar 3-star athlete, as Howard received his offer earlier this year on Jan. 27. Pitt was the first Power Four program to extend an offer to the rising star. Howard is a speedy wide receiver who can break away from the defensive back as the 5-foot-11, 160-pound receiver logged over 571 all-purpose yards last season with 25 catches for 510 yards and seven receiving touchdowns.
The Cardinals already have one of the top-ranked 2027 recruiting classes in the nation, as Brohm and Marrow’s seven commitments are ranked as high as No. 11 in the nation. Louisville has four 4-stars committed already, including a 4-star wide receiver in Chuck Alexander. So, if Howard decides to commit to Louisville and join this recruiting class, he would be the second wide receiver to commit as of now, joining Alexander in this recruiting class.
