Jeff Brohm and Louisville football do it again as the Cardinals land another 2027 commitment. The Cardinals are in the running for a few recruits at the moment, including 4-star cornerback Miles Brown, but Louisville just learned Monday afternoon that they landed 3-star defensive lineman Jesiah Fields.
Louisville's eye-popping 2027 class gets even stronger after 4-star commit surges
The Cardinals' newest commit is a 6-foot-4, 250-pound lineman and is a unanimous 3-star prospect. He was a highly respected 3-star recruit, earning over 27 offers from major programs like Florida State, Miami, USC, Georgia, Florida, Indiana, Texas, and others.
Towards the end of his recruiting process, it was a battle between Maryland, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Rutgers, and Louisville, but Brohm and Vince Marrow got the job done once again and landed their 14th commitment.
Jeff Brohm lands 3-star DL Jesiah Fields
Jeff Brohm’s newest commitment is a North Carolina native who ranks as a 3-star recruit across all recruiting platforms. The 3-star recruit ranks as high as No. 53 among defensive linemen, and No. 525 in the 2027 recruiting cycle. He ranks No. 16 among recruits from North Carolina.
Fields had an eye-popping junior season after earning 25 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, 3.0 sacks, and one fumble recovery. The 3-star lineman marks as Brohm’s fifth defensive lineman commitment in the 2027 cycle, and elevated Louisville’s  2027 class to rank as high as No. 14 in 247 Sports 2027 Team Recruiting Rankings.
Brohm’s 14 commitments thus far have this class trending to make program history. Louisville has never had a class rank inside the top 20 after signing day. The Cardinals have been a program that has turned heads early on, and now, as we hit the middle of May, this program doesn’t appear to be slowing down.
Louisville had multiple 4-star commitments in the 2027 cycle, and is led by Louisville native Allen Evans. The 4-star cornerback is the sixth-highest commitment in program history.
