What a day to be a Louisville football fan. On Tuesday, Jan. 6, the Cardinals' phones rang all night as they watched Jeff Brohm put in work and land eight total commitments. That night, Louisville picked up three offensive linemen, three defensive linemen, and two tight ends, bringing its total transfer commitments to 12.
Louisville fans saw their 2026 Cardinals transfer class quickly jump into the Top 10 this offseason after landing Tulsa transfer Brody Foley. The program rose to No. 9 nationally in the 247Sports transfer class rankings and to No. 4 on On3 Sports following Foley's commitment on Jan. 6.

Louisville football skyrockets up Transfer Portal class rankings
The Cardinals had a massive day yesterday as they landed two 4-stars in Foley and Eryx Daugherty, adding to the 4-star Marquise Davis acquired on Jan. 5. With these three major additions, the Cardinals skyrocketed up the transfer class rankings.
247Sports had Louisville as low as 29 before the Cardinals secured all their commitments late last night, and with these additions, Louisville jumped into the 247Sports top 10 and On3 Sports top five rankings. But, the cherry on top to put Louisville as high as No. 4 in the rankings was the addition of the Tulsa transfer.
Foley ranks as high as No. 61 in the Transfer Portal rankings and is the No. 3 tight end. After his dominant season with the Golden Hurricanes, he was earning interest from elite programs like Notre Dame and Tennessee, but it was Brohm who landed the 4-star.
Louisville fans are all-in on this transfer class, and while the Cardinals have already landed three 4-stars, the most important thing this offseason was Brohm keeping Isaac Brown, AJ Green, and Antonio Watts. The Cardinals aren’t just dominating the porta, they've also been one of the best teams so far at recruiting from within and retaining their star players.
The addition of these three 4-star recruits propelled the program to the national spotlight in the transfer class rankings, and now the Cardinals fans are hoping the biggest commitment is coming soon. Louisville is currently in a heated recruiting battle for former Cardinal commit and elite 4-star transfer wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr.
The fans have been recruiting him heavily on social media, and if Louisville can earn his commitment over Kentucky, Colorado, and Ohio State, this recruiting class will be, without a doubt, one of the best in the nation this offseason.
