Pat Kelsey has been recruiting at an elite level for the class of 2026, as the Cardinals have high expectations. Louisville basketball has made offers to over 24 prospects, including multiple 5-stars.
The Cardinals are trying to emerge as one of the best recruiting schools in the nation. They got off to a hot start this past offseason, with Kelsey and his staff having one of the best offseasons in the nation. The Cardinals now hope that it can translate to high school recruiting, as Louisville just recently made an offer to another 2027 superstar.
Louisville has only offered a few prospects in the 2027 class, including Tyrone Jamison, a 5-star point guard and the No. 1 player out of Louisiana. The Cardinals have now made their next 2027 offer to another 5-star recruit.

Louisville basketball continues recruiting surge with another 5-star in sights
Kelsey and the Cardinals officially made an offer to the 5-star small forward Bruce Branch III. The Arizona native is ranked as high as the No. 8 recruit in the 2027 class, the fourth-best small forward, and the best player out of Arizona.
The 6-foot-7, 170-pound forward can take over games, as he is playing up for the Compton Magic in their 2026 class. Branch is teammates with 2026 5-star Cameron Williams. The Cardinals made their offer to Williams earlier this week, making them one of eight teams to make an offer to the 6-foot-11 forward.

Branch is coming off a 23-point performance over the weekend and is averaging 15.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. He also shoots the ball at a high split of 54.9 percent from the floor and 42.1 percent from beyond the arc.
Last season for Perry High School, he averaged 11.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game. Branch is emerging as one of the top recruits in the nation. He has already received 19 offers from Houston, Indiana, USC, Xavier, Virginia, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, and others.
Louisville has yet to land a commitment in either the 2026 or 2027 class, but the Cardinals clearly have their eyes on the best of the best.
