Pat Kelsey and the Louisville men's basketball program have expressed interest in numerous 5-star superstars in the class of 2026. The Cardinals have recently been trending with Deron Ripey Jr., Taylen Kinney, Ikenna Alozie, Jalen Montonati, and, of course, the nation's No. 1 recruit, Tyran Stokes.

The Cardinals are trying to become one of the top landing spots for these 5-star prospects, but they still have much to do as they have yet to land a commitment in the 2026 class. Louisville had a historic 2025 class, as the Cardinals landed two 4-stars and one 5-star in Mikel Brown Jr. Brown is the second-highest commit in the Cardinals' basketball history.

Louisville's push for greatness got even stronger as the Cardinals reportedly made an official offer to another 5-star recruit in the class of 2025.

Louisville basketball continues to push the pedal to the metal for the class of 2026, as the Cardinals reportedly have just made another offer to a 5-star phenom. The Cardinals have officially made an offer to the 6-foot-11 power forward Cameron Williams.

Williams is a Phoenix, Ariz., native who attends St. Mary's High School. The 5-star prospect has tremendous potential and is ranked as the 15th best player in the class of 2026, per 247Sports. Williams is ranked fifth-best power forward and third-best Arizona native in the 2026 class.

The Cardinals are in an early battle with three ACC schools for the 5-star phenom. Notre Dame, SMU, and Stanford have also made offers. Williams has only received eight offers so far, as Arizona, Indiana, USC, and Washington are the only other programs that have made their offers to the 6-foot-11 power forward.

The 5-star recruit had a tremendous junior season, averaging 18.0 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.6 blocks, and 1.8 steals per game in the 18 games MaxPreps kept stats of. He could also shoot the rock well, as he shot 51.4 percent from the field and 36 percent from beyond the arc. He is now playing for the Compton Magic, averaging 17.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.8 blocks and 2.0 steals per game.
