Louisville basketball continues to get positive news in the 2027 recruiting class as the Cardinals are trending with multiple top recruits. Pat Kelsey is trying to make Louisville one of the top recruiting programs in the nation, as he has landed a 5-star in two straight recruiting classes.
Now, he's eyeing multiple targets in the 2027 recruiting class, and he keeps getting big updates. Earlier this month, Louisville continued to trend as the favorite for 5-star point guard Reese Alston. On3 Sports Jamie Shaw continues to pick Louisville to land Alston. On top of Alston, the Cardinals learned earlier this week that they landed an official visit from 4-star recruit and the No. 16 overall prospect in the nation, Asa Montgomery.
Now, just a couple of days later, Louisville gets more good news, as 5-star recruit Moussa Kamissoko announced his upcoming visits, and the Cardinals are one of them.
Moussa Kamissoko schedules an official visit with Louisville in October
Kelsey is positioning Louisville where Cardinals fans have wanted to be for a long time. The Cardinals are trending with multiple 5-star recruits, including Kamissoko, as it appears Louisville is in a heated recruiting battle with Florida State, Syracuse, Oklahoma State, Virginia, BYU, Illinois, UConn, and Baylor.
Louisville learned they will host 4-star Montgomery on Oct. 30, and now they just learned they will have another elite recruit on campus for an official visit in October, as Kamissoko is scheduled to visit Louisville on Oct. 6-7.
Below is the 5-star visit schedule.
• Florida State — Aug. 28-30
• Syracuse — Sept. 3-4
• Virginia — Sept. 5-6
• Oklahoma State — Sept. 12-13
• BYU — Sept. 15-17
• Illinois — Sept. 18-20
• UConn — Sept. 25-27
• Louisville — Oct. 6-7

The 5-star small forward is highly recruited, and he has not yet received an official visit date from Kentucky, Alabama, North Carolina State, or any other program. Kamissoko has over 21 offers, and Louisville is now trending as a legitimate landing spot for the top-10 overall recruit.
Kamissoko recently spoke about Louisville and why the Cardinals have his attention, saying, "I watched a lot of Louisville last year with Mikel Brown Jr., and they let him rock," the 5-star forward said, according to CardinalAuthority. "I want to step into that role as well."
Now, Kelsey and Louisville are looking to make a major splash with one of the top small forwards and top overall recruits in the 2027 recruiting class. The 6-foot-8, 180-pound small forward ranks as high as No. 8 overall and No. 3 among small forwards.
