Louisville basketball is making a strong push for multiple recruits in the 2027 class, and one target’s recruiting process is heating up. Louisville has been trending with many notable prospects in the 2027 recruiting class, including multiple 5-stars such as CJ Rosser, DeMarcus Henry, and Reese Alston.

Henry continues to trend as a top target for Pat Kelsey, as Louisville not only hosted the 5-star earlier this month but also plans to visit him this week. However, despite the Cardinals' push, Henry is clearly not set on Louisville, as the 5-star forward is taking another official visit this weekend.
Top Louisville target set to visit Arkansas this weekend
Henry took an official visit to UConn this past weekend, and now On3 Sports' Joe Tipton reported that the top-ranked short forward is taking another official visit this weekend, this time to the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Right now, Louisville is emerging as a legitimate threat to land Henry, as the Cardinals have not only landed an official visit but also secured a spot in his final eight. Henry has earned over 29 offers so far, including a most recent one from Duke in August, but as of right now, his updated recruiting list includes Louisville, UConn, Kansas, Arkansas, North Carolina, BYU, Ohio State, and Kentucky.
Now, Duke isn’t in his final eight, but the Blue Devils are certainly on his radar. Henry grew up in North Carolina, and On3 Sports Jamie Shaw even has Duke or UNC as his early frontrunners. However, the Cardinals are up there as well, as Rivals Prediction Meter has the Cards as the early favorites. Louisville has a 41 percent chance of landing Henry, while Ohio State is next at 13 percent, followed by BYU at 11 percent.
Henry said over the summer that he plans to visit all his finalists, so it isn’t a huge surprise to see him visit UConn last week and schedule Arkansas this weekend. Kelsey just has to make sure he keeps his foot on the gas pedal, continues to visit him as often as possible, and builds the relationship, even when Henry visits other schools.
The 5-star small forward ranks as high as No. 2 among small forwards and is the unanimous No. 1 small forward in the cycle. The 6-foot-7 forward is coming off an All-American season, averaging 18.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game this summer at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam.
