Louisville basketball recently hosted one of its top targets in the 2026 recruiting class, Colben Landrew. The 4-star shooting guard recently updated his recruiting list and included the Cardinals, as well as many SEC giants and National Title contenders.
The other nine teams in Landrew's recruiting list right now are Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Texas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Purdue, and UConn. However, Louisville earned a crucial visit this past weekend, and in a recent article by 247Sports, Jody Demling reported Landrew stated the visit went "amazing" and it felt like "home."

The Cardinals have been struggling to find their next shooting guard in the 2026 cycle, as they missed the cut for elite prospects like Jordan Smith Jr., Pat Kelsey, and his Louisville Cardinals staff have been working overtime this offseason on the 2026 recruiting class, though, and Landrew appears to be one of their late bloomers.
"The visit went very well," Landrew stated, according to Demling. "It was amazing. I love it."
The article reported that Landrew stated he fit right in with the Cardinals' energy and culture, as well as the players. Landrew appears to be considering the Cardinals even more after his visit, and Louisville is keeping up with their side, as he stated they are in touch all the time.
"They started recruiting me a little later, but since then, they have been on it," Landrew stated. "They have done a good job and check in with me all the time."
The 4-star shooting guard is one of Kelsey's top prospects for the wing position. He ranks as high as No. 17 recruit in the nation after a monster offseason. On3 Sports also ranks him as the third-best shooting guard in the class after averaging 15.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game during the 3SSB championship.
Kelsey loves to get athletic two-way players who can score but also defend, and the 6-foot-5, 200-pound wing is the perfect player for the Cardinals' culture and style. Louisville now has to wait for his next recruiting update and his decision, as the 4-star has already scheduled visits to Mississippi State, Georgia, Texas A&M, Alabama, and Auburn.
