Louisville basketball is one step closer to earning a commitment from one of its top recruits in the 2026 cycle, as it will receive an official visit from 4-star prospect Colben Landrew, per On3 Sports/ Rivals Joe Tipton. The Cardinals recently received the news that they made the Georgia native's final 10 schools, putting Louisville in a heated recruiting battle with big-time programs.
The other schools to make the top 10 4-star prospects include SEC powerhouses like Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Texas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M. The other two programs to make the cut include elite National Title contenders Purdue and UConn.
Now, Landrew will take an official visit to Louisville this weekend and is expected to make an appearance at the Cardinals' football season opener against Eastern Kentucky.

Louisville hosts elite 4-star Colben Landrew for football's season opener
The 6-foot-5, 200-pound wing is one of the top recruits in the nation as his stock has skyrocketed over the summer. On3 Sports/Rivals moved him all the way up to the No. 17 recruit in the country. The 4-star prospect ranks both as a shooting guard and a small forward.
The elite 4-star ranks as the No. 3 shooting guard in the nation in On3 Sports rankings, while 247Sports ranks him as the No. 61 prospect in the country and the No. 25 small forward in the 2026 cycle.
It is worth noting that Landrew also has visits scheduled to five SEC schools, as Georgia, Alabama, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, and Auburn will all host him this fall. Ole Miss was the first to receive a visit last fall.
Landrew averaged 18.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game last season and is expected to be one of the top wings in the nation his senior year. Landrew is trending as one of Kelsey's top recruits at the shooting guard position, making this weekend a massive one for the future of his recruiting process.
