Louisville football kicked off its 2025 season this past weekend, and the Cardinals secured visits from over 80 recruits across multiple recruiting classes. Vince Marrow is putting in the work to try to boost Louisville as one of the top recruiting programs in the ACC, and this past weekend was a crucial step.

Louisville basketball's visit with elite 4-star SG

Louisville basketball also hosted a key recruit this past weekend in Colben Landrew. The 4-star shooting guard is emerging as one of Pat Kelsey's top targets in the 2026 recruiting class after Landrew skyrocketed up as a prospect this offseason.

Louisville is in a recruiting battle with multiple SEC schools, but after making his top 10 and earning an official visit, the Cards continue to trend in the right direction. Landrew ranks as high as No. 17 in the nation and the No. 3 shooting guard.

Louisville football Week 2 injury report

Louisville football will be without two players Saturday against James Madison. The Cardinals' starting offensive tackle, Trevonte Sylvester, and backup tight end, Nate Kurisky, will miss Louisville's second game of the season after they missed the Cards' season opener as well.

On the positive side, Rodney Johnson Jr. appears to be ok after he injured his ankle in the third quarter against Eastern Kentucky. "I think Rodney will be back, for sure," Brohm stated in his press conference yesterday. No other players were mentioned for the Cardinals' injury report.
