Louisville basketball is all-in on this 2027 recruiting class right now, with a busy past few weeks. Just this past weekend, Pat Kelsey and the Cardinals hosted one of the nation's top prospects, Cayden Daughtry.
Louisville hosted Daughtry for an official visit and is now looking to make a strong push for the nation's No. 2-ranked point guard. The Cardinals are in a heated recruiting battle for Daughtry, as he cut his list to 14 schools, putting UofL in a race with some of the sport's biggest programs. He is one of the top targets in the nation, after going viral for his historic run at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, averaging 32.3 points per game while shooting 56.3 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from beyond the arc, and also averaging 6.1 assists, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.9 steals.

UNC makes the ultimate recruiting move to try and land 5-star DeMarcus Henry
Louisville basketball got a huge update yesterday when 5-star small forward DeMarcus Henry cut his list to just four schools. Now, UofL is battling only Kentucky, Arkansas, and North Carolina. Louisville was once the frontrunner for the 5-star, but that has changed; UNC looks like the new leader, and Michael Malone just made the ultimate move to try to land Henry.
The UNC head coach got Michael Jordan on the phone for Henry’s visit, and the NBA legend told Henry he wants to see him in Carolina Blue.
"So, I am on the phone with Michael Jordan, and he said he knew me, so I was like, that is crazy that Michael Jordan knows me, and he said he is a big fan," stated Henry. "I am like, man, that is crazy coming from Jordan. And he was like I want to see you in Carolina blue, and I was like That is tuff.”

Now, UofL and Jeff Brohm will seek revenge and try to keep their ACC Title dreams alive. Louisville is the dominant favorite, with ESPN giving the Cardinals a near-98 % chance of winning. As for FanDuel, they have this explosive offense as a three-touchdown favorite.
