Louisville basketball recently defeated the Baylor Bears in the Cardinals' final non-conference showdown. The Cards improve to 19-6 on the year and have won five straight games, marking their second-longest win streak since their first seven games of the season. A lot of things went well for the Cardinals in this win, but Louisville fans saw four major takeaways, including Mikel Brown Jr.'s takeover again, J’Vonne Hadley having one of his best games of the season, and defense continuing to step up.

The Cards continue to raise their expectations with this win streak, showing they truly can be a team that makes a run in late March and is pushing for a higher seed in the NCAA Tournament. Louisville and Baylor were knotted up at 34 heading into halftime, but Cardinals fans have to give Pat Kelsey some props as he continues to make adjustments, as this is the fourth game during this win streak. Louisville won three of those games in the second half, outscoring its opponents by double digits.
