Louisville football had a top 10 2026 cycle at the beginning of this week, but the Cardinals' massive 2026 cycle dropped once Louisville lost one of their top commitments to Indiana. Hugan is ranked as high as No. 431 nationally, No. 46 in his position, and No. 37 from Florida.

Jeff Brohm's glaring No. 1 X-factor on the offense
Louisville football's biggest X-factor on the offensive side next season is their key backup running back, Duke Watson. The Cardinals' returning tailback is a massive piece that will help elevate this offense to the next level, as he will aid Isaac Brown and the passing game in breaking out and becoming what the fans hope it can be.
Louisville has one of the best running back rooms in the nation, and with Watson as Brown's backup, Louisville should have one of the best offenses in the country as well. Brown and Miller Moss will get most of the attention, meaning when Watson is in the game, he will have to produce numbers that still make the run game a threat and put the defense on its heels. Last season, Watson led all rushers with at least 50 rushes at 8.9 yards per carry.
