Louisville basketball is just around the corner, and the Cardinals just got a huge update regarding Seth Trimble. The UNC transfer has been fighting for his fifth year of eligibility under the “five-for-five rule,” and after he was ruled ineligible at the last hearing, Judge Brian Edwards of the Jefferson County Circuit Court just granted him eligibility.

This is a step in the right direction that grants him eligibility immediately, but it isn’t final. This isn’t the end of this chaotic process, but for Louisville and Trimble, he is eligible as of now. The UNC transfer is projected to be Louisville’s starting shooting guard and is now available for the Cardinals' preseason showdown with Kansas on Wednesday.

Lincoln Kienholz makes Louisville history with 82-yard touchdown

Louisville football secured a 34-26 win over Syracuse, and Lincoln Kienholz led the Cardinals to their fourth win. The 4-star transfer from Ohio State continues to impress, as he just did something no UofL quarterback has ever done.

Kienholz found the endzone on an eye-popping 82-yard rushing touchdown, the longest rushing touchdown by any Louisville quarterback in program history. Kienholz finished the game throwing for 310 passing yards and one passing touchdown, plus two rushing touchdowns. The Cardinals' dual-threat quarterback has emerged as one of the top quarterbacks in the ACC, and as Louisville looks to make a magical run to the ACC Championship Game, Kienholz will need to do more of this.
