Louisville basketball fans must wait to hear where 5-star recruit Nate Ament commits to as the Virginia native will no longer announce his decision tomorrow, April 1.
It was announced earlier today that Ament will no longer make his commitment during the McDonald's All-American game and will postpone it. The No. 4 overall recruit in the class of 2025 does not have an update on his new commitment date.
The final five schools have not changed, and Duke, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Louisville are Ament's top five schools.

Ament averaged 19.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4.0 blocks, and 3.7 assists per game and is ranked as the second-best power forward in 2025 and the No. 4 overall prospect in the class. Kelsey and the Cardinals made their official offer to Ament last April.
The 5-star recruit visited Louisville back in October 2024. The 6-foot-9, 185-pound small forward has showcased his skills all weekend at the McDonald's All-American practices and scrimmages. The Cardinals are dreaming of the duo of 5-star Mikel Brown Jr. and Ament playing together next season.

Joe Tipton reported over a month ago that Louisville was his prediction of where Ament would commit to.
"I know Louisville is towards the top of his list. I even wrote recently on ON3.com that if I had to pick a school that Nate Ament picks I would probably lean towards Louisville." Tipton stated on a Louisville podcast.
The Cardinals are expected to go all-in on the transfer portal to help draw Ament to Pat Kelsey and Louisville. When the Cardinals landed in Ament's top five schools, he had this to say about the program.
"They have also been very consistent, and I love Coach Kelsey's enthusiasm, and Coach Carr. They have great relationship with not just me but my whole family, and obviously going back to Fanstake, their fans are in with them as well. Seeing a program trying to revive the program and trying to do it with me and Mikel is great to see." Ament stated.
