Louisville football has had an eye-popping 2027 recruiting class so far, but Jeff Brohm is now having to work overtime and avoid losing a few crucial commitments. Earlier this week, it was reported that Louisville’s 3-star commitment, Munir Lewis, was hearing from Ohio State, and Rivals reported that the Cardinals' commitment is listening to what the Buckeyes have to say.

It's time for Jeff Brohm to worry with Ohio State trying to steal away a Louisville commit

Now, one of the Cardinal's top-ranked commitments, Chuck Alexander, is on flip watch after setting multiple visits and hearing from one major Big 10 program.

Louisville already saw its 4-star quarterback commitment, Jack Sorgi, decommit earlier this offseason, and now the next biggest name on flip watch for Brohm and his 2027 recruiting class is the Ohio native. Sorgi committed to Wisconsin, and it appears the Badgers are looking to pair the former Cardinal commit with Alexander, as Wisconsin is set to host him for a visit, along with South Carolina.

Right now, Wisconsin is the first team to host the 4-star on June 12, then shortly followed by South Carolina, which will host him a week later on June 19. The good news is Brohm will host him for another visit on June 29, so Louisville gets a huge chance to prove why the Cardinals are the best fit and to shut down any flip rumors.

Alexanders is an elite 4-star wide receiver from Ohio with over 26 offers. Among those 26 offers, one is the Michigan Wolverines, which is also potentially working with Alexander to secure a visit. Other notable teams that extended an offer to Alexander include Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pitt, and others.

Alexander ranks as high as No. 378 overall in the 2027 cycle, No. 49 among wide receivers, and No. 14 out of the state of Ohio. The Ohio native had an eye-popping junior season with Withrow High School after earning 21 catches for 369 yards and six touchdowns.

He is one of multiple 4-star commitments for Louisville, and is a big reason why Brohm’s 2027 class ranks No. 14 in the nation. Right now, Brohm is turning heads nationwide with this 2027 recruiting class, but he clearly still has work to do to avoid any major commitment to flip like Alexander.
