The Louisville Cardinals added their third tight end this offseason, the latest addition being Oklahoma transfer Davon Mitchell. Cards head coach Jeff Brohm and his staff have addressed the fans' glaring concern about the tight end position this offseason, as Louisville football now has solid depth in the tight end room.
The Cardinals have two tight ends returning from last season, Nate Kurisky and Jaleel Skinner. Louisville lost four of its top five tight ends last season, but with the addition of C.J. Jacobsen, Jacob Stewart, and now Mitchell, the Cards have loaded up their tight end room.
Louisville's offense was one of the best in the nation last season, as the Cardinals were the only team to score 24 points or more in every game. The Cardinals have a loaded offense with Miller Moss, Isaac Brown, and stacked wideouts, and now the addition of Mitchell, makes this offense complete.

He was then ranked as high as the No. 3 tight end in the class of 2024 per ESPN and a unanimous top-11 tight end in the class.
Mitchell was an Under Armour All-American after he secured 33 receptions, 731 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns in 2022.
