Louisville football is making a strong push in the 2027 recruiting class, as Jeff Brohm is trying to make program history. Louisville has never ranked in the top 20 in recruiting rankings after the official signing day, and as we inch closer to June, the Cardinals are currently ranked as high as No. 16.

It's time for Jeff Brohm to worry with Ohio State trying to steal away a Louisville commit

Brohm is looking to boost his class and ranking, as Louisville reportedly hosts 3-star cornerback Khamani Estrada. 247Sports' Jody Demling was the first to confirm this report, as the 3-star confirmed he will be at Louisville this weekend.

Louisville football set to host 3-star CB Khamani Estrada

The 3-star cornerback is an underrated gem in the 2027 recruiting class, as Estrada has earned over 30 offers, including from Colorado, North Carolina State, Nebraska, Arkansas, Kentucky, Florida State, Purdue, and Pitt. Of that list, the Atlanta native has already set up visits in June with Florida State, Purdue, and Pitt.

Estrada ranks as high as No. 478 overall in the 2027 recruiting class, and No. 51 among cornerbacks. The Cardinals visit on May 29 is the first stop on his summer visit tour, but after Louisville, he is visiting Purdue on June 5, Florida State on June 12, and Pitt on June 18. According to 247Sports, all four teams have “warm” next to their names, making it appear they are the current frontrunners in 247Sports' eyes.

The 3-star cornerback had an impressive junior season, logging 43 tackles, 4 pass breakups, 3 interceptions, and 1 forced fumble.

Brohm has turned heads nationwide in this 2027 recruiting cycle, and if he can land Estrada over Florida State, Kentucky, Nebraska, Vanderbilt, and others, it would be another major commitment. It won’t be easy with the 3-star lining up visits right after Louisville’s this weekend, but the Cardinals have the best 2027 recruiting class out of Florida State, Purdue, and Pitt, and they have the opportunity of making a strong impression with them having the first visit.

Louisville already has some eye-popping secondary commitments in the 2027 class, including 4-star cornerback Allen Evans. Evans is the sixth-highest commitment in program history, ranking No. 69 overall in the 2027 recruiting class and No. 10 among cornerbacks.
