Louisville football’s 2027 class is making serious noise early on as the Cardinals are contending with the best of the best in college football. Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow continue to turn heads, as Louisville’s recruiting class is among the best in the nation as of late February 2026.

The Cards have already earned seven commitments in the 2027 class, with four of them being 4-star recruits. Louisville’s four 4-star commitments have the Cards already with more 4-star commitments this class than the 2026 class, and it has Louisville trending toward making history. The Cardinals have never had a class ranked in the top 20, yet they are currently ranked as high as No. 5 in the nation.

The Cards' recruiting class continues to earn high praise early on, and one early sign this class is trending toward being one of the best in program history is the number of blue-chip commitments.

Louisville is dominating the 2027 recruiting class early on, and its four blue-chip commitments prove that. The Cardinals come in ranked tied for No. 5 in the nation for most blue-chip commitments, with Texas A&M leading with nine, followed by Oklahoma with eight, Ohio State with seven, Notre Dame with six, and the Cardinals and Texas Tech tied with four.

The Cardinals' 2027 recruiting class is led by 4-star Allen Evans, who is the sixth-highest rated commitment in program history. The Louisville native ranks as high as No. 39 in the 2027 recruiting class and the No. 6-ranked cornerback.

After Evans is a pair of 4-star offensive playmakers in D'Angelo White and Chuck Alexander. White is an Ohio native who committed to Louisville over Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, Penn State, and others. He ranks as high as No. 240 overall, No. 8 among ATH, No. 14 among tight ends, and No. 8 from Ohio. As for Alexander, he logged over 25 offers and committed to Louisville over Indiana, Kentucky, Pitt, and others. He ranks as high as No. 301 overall, No. 40 among wide receivers, and No. 12 from Ohio.

And finally, rounding out these four blue-chip commitments is the Cardinals' 4-star quarterback commitment, Jack Sorgi. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound quarterback was the first to commit to Louisville in the class back in June of 2025. He has now risen to a 4-star recruit who ranks as high as No. 263 overall, No. 22 among quarterbacks, and No. 3 from the state of Indiana.

Obviously, it is still very early in the recruiting process for the 2027 recruiting class, but Brohm and company aren’t slowing down anytime soon. Louisville is trending among multiple Kentucky and Ohio natives, with all eyes on 4-star Jordan Haskins, who will announce his commitment on March 6.
