Louisville football aims to bolster its already impressive 2026 class as the Cardinals continue to trend in the right direction for multiple recruits. Louisville is set to have multiple players visit this upcoming weekend, including 3-star offensive lineman Pete Eglitis.

The Cardinals will now be in a fierce battle for a hidden gem in the 2026 class, as Louisville is one step closer to earning a commitment from edge rusher Chris Carbin. The 3-star defensive star is ranked as high as a top 700 recruit at No. 686 and is ranked No. 46 out of Georgia. He is also ranked as high as the 57th best recruit in his talented position.

He has earned over 32 offers and has cut his list down to just five. The Cardinals will now be competing for Carbin's commitment with Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Baylor, and Virginia Tech. Carbin earned offers from big-time programs like West Virginia, Kansas State, Tulane, Minnesota, and others.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound defensive end currently attends Hillgrove High School, where he had an impressive junior campaign. He was able to secure 49 total tackles, including nine for a loss and six sacks, per MaxPreps. He also earned two pass breakups, a fumble recovers, and an interception.

The Cardinals ACC competitor, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, are currently the heavy favorites, according to Rivals fan future cast. Louisville will look to earn its 15th commitment in the 2026 cycle, as the Cardinals loaded class is ranked as high as the 16th best class in the nation.
