The Louisville football program continues to improve under Jeff Brohm. The Cardinals have won nine or more in two consecutive seasons and eight or more in three consecutive seasons. Brohm's ability to recruit is a big reason Louisville will be one of the top programs in the ACC.
The Cardinals have one of the best odds to win the ACC this upcoming year, but something to look at is the year after. Louisville has been making splash after splash in the class of 2026, and On3 Sports is finally giving Brohm and his staff the recognition they deserve.

Louisville football’s monster 2026 class is turning heads nationwide
Louisville has landed 13 commitments in the class of 2026, including four 4-star recruits. This is a massive jump from the Cardinals' class of 2025, as Louisville landed zero four and 5-star prospects. According to On3 Sports, Louisville's 15 commitments in 2025 rank dead last in the ACC.
Brohm and his staff stepped up their recruiting game as they could do so at a high level in the transfer portal and recruit elite talent out of high school. On3 Sports recently updated its top 25 team recruiting rankings, and the Cardinals jumped into the top 25 and are ranked No. 22.
Louisville is led by its top commitment, Jaydin Broadnax, who is ranked as high as No. 199 in the nation, No. 20 in his position, and No. 32 in the state of Florida, per ESPN. The Cardinals earned Broadnax's commitment over elite schools like Florida State, Syracuse, Michigan, South Florida, Auburn, and Florida.

The Cards' 13 commitments rank them fourth in the ACC, behind Clemson, Miami, and Florida State. Louisville is making massive strides in the right direction as the Cardinals are expected to contend for an ACC crown this upcoming season, and now are expected to recruit at an elite level after bringing in four 4-stars and a top 25 recruiting class for 2026.
Louisville football class of 2026 is ranked as high as No. 13 by 247Sports. The future looks bright for Brohm and the Cardinals, and after another successful season this year, even more four and 5-stars commit to Louisville.
