Louisville football's class of 2026 has emerged as one of the best recruiting classes in the nation. The Cardinals have earned 13 commitments from the class of 2026, including four 4-stars.

Jeff Brohm and his staff have elevated this Cardinals football program to one of the best in the ACC and are now becoming a top-25 team in the nation yearly. The Cardinals' class of 2026, ranked No. 17 in the country by 247Sports, features four-star Jaydin Broadnax and Evan Hampton leading their elite recruiting class.

The Cardinals look to improve their 2026 class as they learned Thursday afternoon that they made an under-the-radar top 800 recruit in the class of 2026 top 8.

Brohm and his Cardinals learned they made Devonte Anderson's top 8 schools, as the Florida native announced on social media. Anderson is a 3-star defensive back ranked as high as the 792nd prospect in the nation, the 39th ATH player, and the 106th-best player out of Florida, per On3 Sports.

The Cardinals will now face a heated battle against their ACC rival, the Miami Hurricanes. The other six schools in Anderson's top eight are Auburn, UCF, Maryland, Iowa, Michigan State, and Rutgers.

Anderson is an elite two-way player. He secured 38 total tackles, 10 pass breakups, and three interceptions on the defensive side. Offensively, he secured 26 catches for 447 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 13 games.

Louisville football is set to host the underrated 3-star DB next week on May 30. This will be the Cardinal's first official visit from Anderson after Louisville recently made their official offer to the elite two-way athletic player on Feb. 20. Anderson earned over 34 offers, and Louisville ended up making the top eight over schools like Florida, Colorado, Wisconsin, and others.
