Louisville football just secured another 4-star commitment yesterday, bringing the Cardinals' total of 2027 commitments to eight. The Cards are sending a loud message to the nation right now that they are competing to have one of the best recruiting classes not just in program history, but in the nation for this 2027 cycle.

Vince Marrow’s fiery 3-word message defines Louisville's 2027 recruiting surge

Last night, Louisville added 4-star Jordan Haskins to its 2027 recruiting class. The Kentucky native marks as the Cards' fifth 4-star commitment already in the 2027 cycle, and marks as the third Kentucky native recruit, and the second 4-star Kentucky native.

Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow are turning heads nationwide right now, having already beaten out powerhouse programs for multiple commitments. But also, 247Sports just updated their 2027 Recruit Football Team Rankings, the Cardinals just passed the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and now have the No. 4-ranked recruiting class in the country.

Louisville football surges to No. 4 nationally after another 4-star commits

Louisville football now has the fourth-best 2027 recruiting class in the nation after Jordan Haskins committed to the Cardinals last night over Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, and Virginia Tech. The Cardinals' eight commitments just passed Notre Dame early on in the 2027 recruiting class, as Haskins now will be paired up with top-100 recruit and the No. 2-ranked Kentucky native Allen Evans.

Evans is the sixth-highest-rated Louisville football commit in modern recruiting history and is the top-ranked commitment so far in the 2027 recruiting class. Also ranked as a 4-star in the Cards' 2027 recruiting class are three elite offensive playmakers: wide receiver Chuck Alexander, tight end D'Angelo White, and quarterback Jack Sorgi.

Brohm and Marrow are red-hot in the 2027 recruiting class, and it comes after they dominated the Transfer Portal and earned the fifth-best portal class, according to On3 Sports. So, while it is still early in the 2027 cycle, Louisville jumping a powerhouse like Notre Dame and being ranked ahead of the Irish, Georgia, Texas, Miami, and many others sends a loud message about where the Louisville football program is heading under Brohm and Marrow.
