Boom! Jeff Brohm and Louisville football get a massive addition to their 2027 recruiting class as the Cardinals land a crucial 4-star in the 2027 cycle. Louisville football was on a bit of a skid entering this week, as the Cardinals lost multiple commitments this summer.

Louisville lost three 4-stars in the 2027 recruiting class, including 4-star Allen Evans and 4-star Chuck Alexander Jr. The Cardinals were once ranked as high as No. 4 in the 2027 recruiting team rankings, but the recent skid put Louisville outside the top 40. However, now the Cardinals just landed the big splash they desperately needed.

Brohm and Vince Marrow learned on Tuesday that 4-star defensive lineman Kadin Fife committed to the Cardinals, giving the Cardinals 2027 recruiting class a massive boost.

The Cardinals desperately needed a big-time splash, and that is exactly what Brohm just got. Fife is an elite 4-star recruit in the 2027 recruiting class who has been recruited by major programs.

The 4-star recruit has earned over 34 offers so far, and from notable programs like Tennessee, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Ole Miss, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Miami, Texas, and many other elite programs. Fife originally committed to Tennessee but recently decommitted from the Volunteers in late June.

Before his decommitment, he visited Georgia and Ole Miss, but it was Brohm and Louisville who ultimately landed the 4-star. The Cardinals' addition of Fife is massive for this 2027 class and for this program. The 4-star defensive lineman ranks as high as No. 390 overall in the 2027 recruiting class, No. 33 among defensive linemen, and the No. 11 recruit out of the state of Alabama.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound 4-star commit is a dominant presence on the defensive front line, as he logged 31 total tackles, including 10.0 tackles for a loss, 6.0 sacks, and one forced fumble.

The Cardinals are having a big week so far, as earlier this week, they learned that their 4-star commitment, Ja’Hyde Brown, soared in the rankings to No. 66 in the 2027 recruiting class. So, now that Louisville landed Fife over major programs like Georgia, Ole Miss, and Tennessee, the Cardinals' recruiting class ranks as high as No. 30 overall in On3 Sports Recruiting Team Rankings.

Louisville now has four 4-star commitments in the 2027 recruiting class, including Brown, AJ Tillman, D’Angelo White, and now Fife. The Cardinals now have 16 commitments in the 2027 cycle, and Louisville and Brohm will look to carry the momentum from Brown and Fife.
