Louisville football is expected to have another massive recruiting weekend for the Cardinals' Week 4 matchup with the Bowling Green Falcons. Vince Marrow and Jeff Brohm are reportedly in full recruitment mode yet again as they will host over 80 recruits for the second game of the season.

The Cardinals had a massive Week 1 recruitment weekend, and then a low-key weekend for Week 2, but now will pick it right back up for their third game of the regular season. The Cardinals are going to host some big-time names, like 4-star cornerback and Louisville native, Allen Evans, but there is one 2026 target Louisville fans are keeping their eyes on, as Marrow and Brohm will host him this weekend and try to flip him from Duke.

Louisville football looks to rip 3-star DE from ACC rival

Louisville is excited to have the elite defensive end prospect, Dane Bathurst, on campus for a gameday visit in hopes of flipping him after he committed to Duke, per 247Sports Jody Demling.

The 3-star defensive end marks as one of Louisville's top targets this weekend as he ranks as high as No. 615 in the nation, the No. 63 edge rusher in the 2026 class, and the No. 8 best recruit out of Indiana. The Cardinals hosted West Virginia commitment Taj Powell in Week 1, but after he visited L&N Stadium, he quickly flipped his commitment to Louisville, and the Cardinals hope they can do the same with Bathurst.

Powell will also be on campus this weekend for the game, and the newest Louisville commit can help persuade the 6-foot-4 235 235-pound defensive end to flip from Duke to Louisville and join this top 30 recruiting class.

Louisville's 2026 class ranks as high as No. 29 in the nation, and if Louisville can swipe a commitment from one of its ACC rivals, that would make this class that much better. Marrow has made an immediate impact since he came over from Kentucky, and hopefully, after this weekend, Louisville's 2026 class can gain a commitment and have a total of 24 commitments in the 2026 cycle.
