Louisville football continues to build its 2027 recruiting class this offseason, with the Cardinals trending toward multiple 4-stars. Recently, Louisville fans saw an expert prediction from On3 Sports/Rivals that increased to 96 percent that Louisville will earn Haskins' commitment.

Then, just yesterday, they learned they are still alive, and for 4-star defensive linemen from Florida, Maleek Lee, as On3 Sports reported, the Cardinals are fighting against Ohio State and Florida. Well, with the Cardinals' class currently ranked No. 7 in the nation and already having more 4-star commitments in the 2027 class than in the 2026 class, it shows how good an addition Vince Marrow is.

Now, they get more good news as one of their prized prospects just updated his recruiting list, and the Cardinals are happy to see they made 4-star wide receiver Cam Wade’s final four.

With his commitment most likely coming soon, Wade updated his list to Louisville, LSU, Maryland, and Florida State. The 4-star wide receiver was at six schools before this update, but he cut South Carolina, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Fans saw Florida State added to the list after being excluded from the final six.

Wade has been a recruit that Louisville has had its eyes on for a long time, as the 4-star wide receiver took a game-day visit back in Week 1 when the Cardinals played Eastern Kentucky. Wade is a Kentucky native who ranks No. 3 in the state after earning 53 catches for 821 receiving yards and 14 receiving touchdowns at Paducah Tilghman High School.

Wade ranks as high as No. 167 in the nation and No. 27 among wide receivers in the 2027 recruiting class. He is a consensus top-five recruit from Kentucky, and the Cardinals have had recent success recruiting top prospects from Paducah Tilghman High School, as the Cardinals landed 4-star offensive tackle Jarvis Strickland in the 2026 class.

Wade recently visited Florida State for Junior Day, which is a key reason they got the jump on his final four. On3 Sports still gives Louisville the best chance to earn his commitment with a 31.3 percent chance. Jeff Brohm and Marrow have done a phenomenal job at dominating the state of Kentucky early on with the 2027 recruiting class, as they have already landed multiple in-state recruits, including the state’s No. 1 recruit, Allen Evans.

There is no commitment timeline as of today, but with his list cut to four, the Cardinals fans will keep a close eye on this one. Louisville currently has seven commitments in the 2027 recruiting class, ranking as high as No. 7 in the nation, and has already landed four 4-star commitments.
