Louisville football has had a massive offseason so far, with the Cardinals among the best in the nation. While Louisville has lost 26 players to the Transfer Portal, they have added 23 players through the portal. The Cardinals' offseason as a whole ranks No. 2 in the nation by On3 Sports, while 247Sports ranks their additions No. 10 in the country.

Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow have shown no signs of slowing down as they have earned key commitments the past two days in 4-star wide receiver Tre Richardson and elite safety Koen Entringer. However, despite Louisville’s red-hot offseason, the Cardinals need to add more depth for their wide receiver room, and the Cards just got a crushing update on one of their top targets.

Louisville has been linked to former 5-star recruit Mylan Graham out of high school and to the elite Ohio State transfer, but yesterday, Louisville fans learned there is a strong chance Graham will commit to Notre Dame in the next couple of days.

It was reported that Louisville was one of four teams in the mix for the former Buckeye. The Cardinals are in a four-team battle, with Auburn, Ole Miss, and Notre Dame the other three teams heavily involved. However, recently the Fighting Irish received a visit from Graham, and now Pete Nakos and Steve Wiltfong have made a prediction that Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame will secure a commitment from the 4-star transfer.

With Louisville adding Ohio State’s backup quarterback, Lincoln Kienholz, this offseason via the Transfer Portal, the Cards fans were dreaming of adding Graham as well. The 6-foot-1 185 pound receiver and Kienholz have been teammates since the 2024 season, as Graham committed to Ohio State in the 2024 recruiting class as a 5-star transfer ranked as high as No. 33 overall and the No. 7-ranked wide receiver.

The Cardinals have lost five receivers to the transfer portal, and Chris Bell, Caullin Lacy, and Dacari Collins are no longer eligible. The wide receiver room is the top priority right now for Louisville, and the Cardinals will now go back to the drawing board, as they are linked to multiple receivers.

Louisville has been in contact with and has hosted visits from Colorado transfer Dre'lon Miller and Texas transfer DeAndre Moore Jr. They have also reached out to Syracuse transfer Darrell Gill Jr. Brohm has added three receivers in the portal, including 4-star Tre Richardson, and two Kentucky transfers, Hardley Gilmore IV and Montavin Quisenberry.
