Jeff Brohm and the Louisville Cardinals have their eyes on the ACC Title, and two newcomers are already showing they are ready to shine this upcoming season. The Cards had one of the top-ranked Transfer Portal classes in the nation, after Brohm landed over 32 transfers.
Louisville fans are excited about many newcomers from the portal, but two are already standing out and building chemistry. Ohio State transfer Lincoln Kienholz and Florida State transfer Lawayne McCoy are expected to make an immediate impact in Brohm’s offense, and in a recent social media post, Cardinals fans can not wait to see this duo in action.
Louisville fans get exciting preview of what new 4-star duo can bring
McCoy and Kienholz are both 4-star transfers and are going to be immediate starters for Brohm. The Cardinals turned to the portal for their starting quarterback for the fourth straight season under Brohm, and with Chris Bell and Caullin Lacy going to the NFL, Brohm added multiple key transfers, including McCoy.
The 4-star transfer have Louisville fans jumping out of their seats after a recent post from the Cardinals' social media page, as McCoy is seen making a nasty one-handed grab.

The Cards fans are all-in on McCoy as the Florida State transfer has incredibly high potential, as he ranked No. 146 overall in the 2024 recruiting class and No. 6 ATH. McCoy earned 22 offers out of high school and ultimately committed to the Seminoles over Kentucky, Penn State, Ole Miss, Miami, and others.
Now, he comes to Louisville after flourishing in the second half of the season with Florida State this past season. The 4-star transfer caught 27 passes for 396 yards and three touchdowns in 2025, including the final game against Florida, where he caught six for 110 yards and a touchdown.
Louisville fans are eager to see McCoy in the red and black uniforms, and this filthy one-handed catch is a clear reason why. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver is athletic, good at finding open space, and an excellent route runner, and he just showed his ability to track the ball and make difficult catches.
He transfers to Louisville, ranked as high as No. 125 overall in the Transfer Portal and No. 25 among wide receivers. Brohm is known for having one of the top offenses in the ACC, and with Louisville having replaced most of last year's unit, it is good to see the new QB and new WR gelling and building chemistry before their crucial Week 1 showdown with Ole Miss.
This is going to be a fun year, Louisville fans, and McCoy is poised to be one of the Cardinals' top wide receivers, and hopefully UofL fans can see plays like this one inside L&N Stadium during the 2026 season.
