Louisville football entered the weekend with a few 2027 commitments on flip watch, and Jeff Brohm and the Cardinals fans got news they didn't want to hear from one of the Cards' commitments. With Louisville on pace to make program history with this class, other programs are trying to flip the Cardinals' commitments, and unfortunately, Louisville saw the second commitment flip from this staff.
Jeff Brohm and Louisville football have a few commits on flip watch this weekend
Earlier this year, Louisville saw 2027 4-star quarterback commitment Jack Sorgi flip his commitment to Wisconsin following a visit. Sorgi was the first commitment in the Cardinals' 2027 recruiting class, but with his father playing football at Wisconsin, the 4-star decided to follow his dad's path.
Now, Louisville fans learned that 3-star commitment Kaleb Exume decommitted from the Cardinals on Sunday after a recent visit to another ACC program.
Louisville football 3-star commit Kaleb Exume decommits following ACC visit
Exume is a Florida native recruit and has been committed to Louisville since April of 2026. Despite being a Louisville commit, the former Cardinal took an official visit to Boston College this past weekend, which ultimately led him to decommit from Brohm and the Cardinals.

Exume visited Louisville during the Cardinals' Spring Game and returned for an official visit on May 29. However, his first official visit with Bill O'Brien and Boston College was enough for him to decommit, and he is now likely heading to the Eagles.
The 3-star recruit is a defensive tackle who had a dominant junior season in 2025. The Florida native secured an impressive 78 tackles, 22.5 tackles for a loss, 6.0 sacks, three forced fumbles, and three pass breakups.
The 6-foot-2, 310-pound defensive tackle ranked as high as No. 1,414 overall in the 2027 recruiting class, No. 159 among defensive linemen and No. 151 among Florida recruits.
Exume was one of three commitments who took visits elsewhere this weekend, as 3-star Brooklyn Maxey visited Kansas State and 3-star Cornelius Tims III visited Mississippi State. Maxey is a two-way athlete who ranks as high as No. 875 in the 2027 recruiting class, No. 55 ATH, and No. 75 among recruits out of Florida.
As for Tims, the 3-star ranks No. 838 in the 2027 recruiting cycle, No. 95 among defensive linemen, and No. 60 among Florida recruits. Both 3-star recruits have earned over 25 offers from major programs, as Maxey earned offers from Alabama, Kentucky, Texas, Auburn, Penn State, and Wisconsin, while Tims has offers from Auburn, Florida State, Vanderbilt, and others.
Cardinals fans are hoping Exume is the only Cardinal commitment to flip his commitment following the weekend visits, but with one 3-star decommitting, it is certainly worth monitoring Maxey and Tims.
Louisville and Brohm are now at 17 commitments in the 2027 recruiting class and rank as high as No. 26 in the 247 Team Recruiting Rankings.
