South Carolina transfer Cason Henry commits to Louisville on Wednesday afternoon, giving this front unit a massive boost. Louisville fans have been eyeing Henry all offseason and were expecting the elite right tackle to commit shortly, as multiple experts logged a crystal ball prediction for the Cardinals.

Now he will commit to Louisville as one of their top commitments so far this offseason, and will look to start for Brohm’s offensive line in 2026.

Louisville football lands elite OL from South Carolina

Entering the offseason, the offensive line stood out as one of the Cardinals' top priorities. Louisville lost several starters from last season, and while Brohm added three new O-line commitments yesterday, a player like Henry was still essential.

Henry commits to Louisville after starting for South Carolina for two years. The South Carolina transfer started in every game in 2024 and the first four games in the 2025 season before his season-ending injury. The newest Louisville Cardinal allowed just 31 total pressures and six sacks on 417 pass blocks and 816 snaps in the 2024 season. As for the 2025 season, he logged 114 snaps, 56 of them pass-blocking, and allowed zero sacks and one pressure.

He commits to Louisville as a top-20 offensive tackle in the portal, as 247Sports ranks him as high as No. 187 and the 14th-best offensive tackle. He is a former Louisville target from the 2022 class as the Cardinals extended an offer to the former 3-star high school recruit, but he committed to South Carolina over the Cardinals, North Carolina, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, and other Power Four teams.

Louisville offensive line is beginning to form as the Cardinals will have Lance Robinson and Jordan Church back, and two key transfers in Eryx Daugherty and Henry.
